Our campaigns.

Supporting choice, fostering stronger communities and delivering compassionate care

In Dudley, our ambition is clear: we want to support adults and older residents to live safe, fulfilling, and active lives within their own homes and neighbourhoods. Our Adult Social Care team goes far beyond crisis response; we focus on proactive, community-led support, championing preventative care and working collaboratively with our local health partners.

Our ongoing campaigns are a direct reflection of this commitment. From embedding public health initiatives into daily care to easing seasonal pressures on our local NHS, we are actively reshaping the landscape of community support. Explore the key campaigns driving our vision forward across the borough below.

Healthy Dudley

Supporting choices for healthier, happier, and longer lives.

Prevention is at the heart of everything we do. Through our close collaboration with Dudley Public Health, we are driving the Healthy Dudley campaign to give residents the tools, advice, and resources they need to thrive at every stage of life. From promoting physical and mental wellbeing to supporting healthy lifestyle choices, this initiative focuses heavily on "Ageing Well"— keeping older adults moving, socially connected, and stronger for longer. Whether it’s free park fitness classes or tools to manage everyday stress, Healthy Dudley is helping us prevent care needs before they start.

Home First and The Community Bridge Project

Helping residents transition from hospital back to independence.

A hospital bed is rarely the best place for long-term recovery. Our "Home First" and "Community Bridge" initiatives are designed to change how we support residents leaving hospital wards. By heavily investing in social prescribing right at the point of discharge, we connect individuals with local community hubs, voluntary networks, and targeted home-care infrastructure. This approach ensures vulnerable adults can return to their own familiar surroundings safely, reducing the risk of re-admission and protecting vital NHS capacity.

Winter Wellbeing

Keeping our vulnerable communities safe, warm, and well.

Winter brings unique challenges for older adults and disabled individuals across Dudley. Every year, our Adult Social Care team launches a comprehensive Winter Wellbeing campaign. We distribute targeted toolkits and practical resources focused on managing energy efficiency, preventing falls at home, accessing local warm hubs, and acquiring short-term mobility aids. It’s an all-hands-on-deck effort to combat loneliness and ensure no resident feels left behind during the coldest months of the year.

Caring for Dudley’s Carers

Celebrating and supporting the backbone of our workforce.

Our social care ecosystem relies heavily on the incredible dedication of thousands of unpaid family carers and international care professionals. This campaign focuses entirely on giving back to them. We run dedicated health pop-ups, relaxation therapies, legal and community guidance sessions, and direct signposting to respite services. By actively caring for our caregivers, we build a sustainable, compassionate workforce that can continue delivering excellent care.
